We are looking for an experienced Systems Engineer for our Defence client in Canberra locations.

You will have:

  • Priority of effort is to assure fitness of purpose and safety of Design Team's product line outputs,
  • Oversee engineering process alignment and governance within the Design Team product lines, in accordance with Design Team Program Management Office, LNIC's EMS, Army and CASG engineering policies,
  • Be able to hold and exercise design authority where assigned
  • Conduct technical review and approval of engineering designs, documentation, investigation and trial reports as directed by the Design Team Engineering Manager,
  • Assist in developing and maintaining GxA Standards (as needed) within the Standards Management program,
  • Represent GxA standards to industry, broader Defence, and international stakeholders
  • provide technical support and advice to the Subject Matter Experts,
  • Identify and manage product or project risk, escalating to SO2 Design when this has potential to impact Design Team business outcomes,
  • Develop and serve as the technical POC for the GRASA on behalf of the Technical Executive,
  • Work closely with Design Engineering Manager to support the Design engineering processes, including information management for Modelling artefacts,
  • Engage with external engineering and technical stakeholders to understand technology solutions and frame GRASA strategic direction and outcomes,
  • Provide other reasonable services as tasked by the SO2 Design or Executive Staff.
