The
Senior Electrical Engineer – HV & Specialist Services
aims to drive the growth of Middleton Group as a sustainable business by leading projects and delivering high-quality technical solutions efficiently and on time for our clients. This role requires a technical leader with a primary focus on 22kV electrical design, complemented by experience in low voltage, control system design, earthing, and power systems design.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage technical projects to ensure timely and efficient delivery of high-quality work.
• Serve as a technical authority, particularly in 22kV electrical design.
• Utilise strong expertise in low voltage, control system design, earthing, and power systems design.
• Foster staff growth through technical leadership and mentoring.

Capability Development

• Facilitate access to job opportunities and training programs for team members.
• Work with the team leader on initiatives for continuous skill development, ensuring the team remains at the forefront of industry trends.

Engineering & Design Delivery

• Leads and drives design projects or disciplines to meet client and internal objectives.
• Works on multiple major projects providing innovative solutions that meet client objectives.
• Takes responsibility for the quality control of technical outputs ensuring they are reviewed, checked and approved prior to issue.
• Develops and implements engineering standards and best practices to ensure compliance with industry regulations and quality requirements.
• Leads the implementation of sustainable and environmentally friendly design practices in line with the company's focus on emissions carbon reduction and community benefits.

Technical Depth & Breadth

• Distinguished record of creativity and innovation. Advances project design and project management principles, theories and concepts.
• Demonstrates high levels of cross disciplinary technical knowledge, ingenuity and creativity.

Guidance / Initiative

• Leading a team to ensure projects from start to finish maintaining a high standard of Quality, Safety, are within cost and in agreed time frames.
• Self -supervising within expectations of the team leader.
• Provides guidance to departments/many groups of the organisation.
• Exercises comprehensive discretion in judgment and initiative in setting & implementing goals.

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) electrical with 8+ years of experience.
• Engineering Chartership.
• Water and transport project experience highly desirable.
