In this role, you will be the go-to engineer for solar and battery system design. About the role

Reporting to the Head of Engineering, you will collaborate closely with senior management, commercial and business development teams, project delivery engineers, compliance and safety teams, as well as contractors and suppliers. The role focuses on designing and reviewing renewable energy projects, from feasibility and design through to commissioning and quality assurance.

Duties

  • Define design specifications and project requirements for tenders and proposals
  • Deliver electrical engineering studies, PV performance analysis and cost estimates
  • Design and review solar PV and battery storage systems using industry-standard tools
  • Conduct quality assurance testing, site inspections and commissioning activities

Skills & experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • Proven experience in electrical engineering design within energy, mining or infrastructure, ideally with renewable energy focus
  • Proficiency with design tools such as AutoCAD, PVSyst, Helioscope and related software
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills, able to work across teams and manage multiple projects
