Role Description

This is a full-time role for a
Senior Project Engineer – Electrical
to join our Sydney team.

The Senior Project Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing electrical infrastructure within the building services industry. The role involves leading small to medium-sized projects, ensuring best-practice delivery while managing cost and timelines, and developing strong relationships with clients.

This position requires close collaboration with other engineering disciplines to ensure successful project delivery and high performance outcomes across both single and multi-disciplinary projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide electrical design leadership
  across both single and multi-disciplinary projects.
• Lead small to medium-sized engineering design projects
  , and contribute to the successful delivery of larger, more complex projects.
• Maintain clear communicatio
  n with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to ensure alignment and transparency.
• Apply best practice design principles
  to deliver value driven outcomes, optimising time, cost, and quality for our clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status or working towards it (highly desirable).
• Any relevant certifications in project management, safety, or software tools (e.g. AutoCAD, Revit, MS Project) are advantageous; however, not essential.

Skills & Experience

• Minimum 6 years of experience in engineering consultancy and project delivery.
• Strong client-facing experience, including stakeholder engagement and relationship management.
• Demonstrated success in identifying, pursuing, and converting new business opportunities.
• Experience preparing and presenting compelling proposals, bids, and capability statements.
• Experience contributing to revenue targets and growth strategies.
• Ability to upsell and cross-sell services within existing projects or client portfolios.
• Ability to think creatively and strategically to deliver innovative solutions.
• Excellent communication skills: written, verbal, and presentation.
• Experience in mentoring and developing junior staff.
• Proficient in relevant engineering software and project management tools.
• Proven ability to manage complex, multidisciplinary projects independently.
