  • Property Insurance Plus (PIP) – established in 2009, provides cost-effective insurance protection for investors in the landlord insurance and real estate sectors. This brand distributes to real estate agents and the direct consumer.

About the Job

In your day to day, you will:

  • Manage end-to-end claims processes including lodgement, analysis and settlement of domestic property insurance claims.
  • Deliver excellent service for all customers and suppliers, by providing timely and accurate responses and updates over the phone and via e-mail.
  • Analysing & resolving claims in the most effective and time efficient manner, whilst complying to all regulatory requirements & internal process standards.
  • Maintain an active & effective diary system for all allocated claims.
  • Establish/Maintain relationships with a broad range and internal/external stakeholders, including brokers, service providers and insurers.
  • Undertake & complete training opportunities & external courses provided by the company.
  • Actively Identify and manage Complaints & Breaches per company processes/procedures, and within Code of Practice timeframes.
  • Work effectively in the team environment, collaborating with peers and sharing knowledge & skills to achieve team goals and objectives.
  • Identify and escalate opportunities for continuous improvement in processes.

About you

  • Certificate IV in General Insurance and/or Tier 2 qualifications (desirable).
  • General understanding of the intermediated insurance industry.
  • Demonstrated experience in an underwriting or similar claim's role, with property insurance/industry experience (highly desirable).
  • Fair understanding of underwriting or claims principles, insurance legislation, and current market trends.
  • High level attention to detail with excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
