Village National Group are looking for Camp Cook's to join our mobile camp teams

  • We are currently recruiting for multiple Chef's across various locations, however you will need to get yourself to Toowoomba as it is Drive in Drive out from Toowoomba

Being a Camp Cook at VNG means you will be:

  • Preparation and service of food as required
  • Plan the menu and prepare tasty, fresh and wholesome food tailored to your clients.
  • Assist the client in maintaining and driving a safe working culture.
  • Work to meet food-cost targets & other initiatives
  • Be part of and lead a small team that works effectively together every day.
  • Take ownership of the wellbeing of your peers, customers and others in the camp.

The Camp Cook must possess attributes including:

  • Safety focused
  • Excellent communication
  • Team-minded
  • Attention to detail

To be considered you MUST have:

  • Trade qualifications with minimum Certificate III in Commercial Cookery
  • Minimum 2 year experience in resources service related industry
  • Workplace Health and Safety Standards relevant to food, mining, oil and gas
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Current Food Safety Standards
  • A National Police Clearance (valid within 3 months)
  • Valid full drivers licence (manual)
  • Valid First Aid and CPR certification
  • PMASUP236 Valid Operate Vehicles in Field (4WD) certification (minimum 6 months validity)
  • All applicants will need to complete a Pre-employment medical including drug and alcohol testing.
