Under Manager

In this exciting period of growth, we have an exciting opportunity at Moolarben Coal Operations to join our Underground team as an Undermanager. Working with a dynamic team, you will be a strong leader who has the ability to drive the correct safety culture whilst maintaining a strong focus on continuous improvement, problem solving and high standards. Your responsibilities will include:

- Allocate Deputies to the Districts of the Mine to Comply with Mine Inspection System and the WH & S Act and Regs.
- Ensure Compliance with all Management Plans & Systems used to manage Moolarben Coalmine
- Audit areas of the mine to maintain compliance with Management Plans & Systems
- Respond to Trigger Action response Plans (TARPs)
- Ensure all work is completed to a high standard & in Compliance with the standards established for the various areas of Moolarben coalmine
- Conduct Start of Shift Meetings with Deputies, Crew Leaders & Control room operators
- Conduct Debriefing Meetings with Deputies, Crew Leaders & Control room operators
- Conduct Start of Shift Toolbox talks with Employees
- Complete a detailed Shift Report
- Read & sign all statutory & deputies production reports for your shift

**Our Essential Criteria**
- Experience working in a similar position in an underground coal environment t
- Diploma Underground Coal Mine Management (Undermanager)
- Significant people leadership experience
- Ability to promote a positive safety culture within the mine
- Strong communication, interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Demonstrated ability to meet production targets.
- Current standard 11 (underground) Current Coal board medical

- 7/7 roster - day night rotation (even time)

**Qualifications and Requirements**:

- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Underground Coal Mining legislation and practices
- Demonstrated leadership experience for an underground coal mining operation
- 2nd Class Queensland Managers Certificate of Competency or NSW Certificate of Competency with mutual recognition
- Intermediate computer skills
- Strong commitment to health & safety practices
