About Us

Greatland is a new and dynamic Australian gold-copper producer, proudly operating the iconic Telfer mine and developing the world-class Havieron gold-copper project in Western Australia's Paterson region. As we grow, we're seeking an experienced Contracts Specialist to join our Contracts & Procurement team in a full-time, permanent role based in our Subiaco offices with occasional site travel. In our small, agile team, you'll manage a portfolio of high-value, strategically important contracts while driving new commercial and process improvement initiatives. This is a hands-on role with genuine scope to shape how we work and influence outcomes across the business.

About the Role

In this role, you will join the Contracts team supporting the Group Manager - Contracts and Procurement with Key Responsibilities Including:

  • Manage a portfolio of high-profile mining services and operationally critical supply contracts, ensuring performance, compliance, and value delivery.
  • Develop and implement contracting and procurement strategies aligned to operational and strategic objectives.
  • Provide commercial insights and advice to minimise risk and support informed decision-making.
  • Lead end-to-end sourcing processes, from RFX development to supplier negotiations and award.
  • Leverage deep knowledge of category cost drivers, risk mitigation, and industry trends to secure favourable long-term agreements.
  • Manage key supplier relationships and resolve contractual or commercial issues.
  • Drive governance, compliance, and risk management, mentoring others on policies, systems, and processes.
  • Analyse spend and market data to identify opportunities, efficiencies, and improvements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams across operations, finance, legal, HSE, and IT.
  • Champion continuous improvement, process optimisation, and system automation

This is a hands-on role suited to a commercially astute contracts and procurement professional with experience across the end-to-end contracts and procurement lifecycle, preferably with experience managing mining services or complex operationally critical contracts, in the mining and resources industry.

About You

You are commercially astute, solutions-focused, and experienced across the full contracts and procurement lifecycle, ideally within mining, resources, or a similar industry.

  • 5-10 years' experience managing high-value/high-risk contracts, ideally including mining services.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills, confident liaising across site operations, corporate functions, and suppliers.
  • Proven negotiation and commercial acumen, with the ability to assess risk, drive value, and influence outcomes.
  • Experience identifying and delivering process improvements.
  • Ability to analyse spend and market data for data-driven decisions.
  • Proficiency in SAP S/4HANA, Fiori, or similar systems (highly regarded).
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Commerce, Law, Engineering, Business, or related discipline (desirable).

Why Join Us?

This is a rare opportunity to take ownership, shape your role, and make a tangible impact in a growing, values-driven company. You'll work on diverse projects, influence commercial outcomes from the outset, and help build sustainable procurement practices that deliver real value.

Greatland is an Equal Opportunity Employer. Recruitment decisions are based on merit, and we are committed to creating an inclusive environment where all individuals can thrive.
