Our Venues:

Situated in the heart of Sydney's CBD, the Building is made up of two state of the art buildings operating under one roof. Within the operation The Big Group manages all the hospitality for 8,500 employees and across multiple floors of meeting rooms, large event spaces, café outlets and an Event Centre that caters up to 1000 people. 

Our meeting room and client floors offer personalised high-touch service for meetings, executive dining and formal events. We operate a stunning 3 level, tech-advanced event centre, encompassing a 550 pax seated main area, pre-function areas, lounge, meeting rooms and an art gallery. Additionally, we have multiple café areas across different levels to service the internal client throughout the day.

Across the entire building, we offer a vast array of service styles and dining/menu options all produced onsite and led by our Executive Chef with a large focus on creativity, taste, local produce and nutrition. All produced in our in-house production kitchen within the building.

Position Overview:

To support our catering operations we maintain a range of casual staff who produce the food and service all of our event spaces. We are in a corporate environment which operates Monday-Friday, with the occasional weekend event. We are looking for a Staffing Coordinatorto join our Staffing trio in the collaborative management of our amazing team, with support from the leaders in each area.

Main Duties:

  • Coordinate recruitment, onboarding, rostering and engagement functions of the team.
  • Monday-Friday roster, with flexibility to man the staffing mobile (which is rotated around the team) outside of hours.
  • Process a high volume of various admin tasks which can vary daily.
  • Build relationships with the leaders and staff to maintain our positive culture.
  • Understand the team and each persons individual requirements so that everyone gets the best out of their working relationship.
  • Respond to employee enquiries and where possible engage the team for face to face conversations.

Skills/Experience Required:

  • Strong Hospitality experience with understanding of FOH and BOH operations.
  • Strong knowledge and/or experience in Back of House (ideally.)
  • Exceptional admin abilities with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a positive attitude and willingness to learn and grow
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
  • Full working rights only.
