CHESTERTON CUSTOMSEAL is a growing business with a head office and manufacturing facility in Wangara, Perth and an office and manufacturing facility in Wetherill Park, NSW. We manufacture high-performance polymer seals that are designed for use in a broad range of hydraulic, pneumatic, and rotating equipment. As the name suggests, we are renowned for our focus on tailored solutions for our customers' requirements.

We are seeking a driven and talented Area Sales Manager to join our team based in either Sydney, NSW or Perth, WA to help us grow our business and strengthen relationships with key clients. This is a permanent, full-time role, reporting to either the Sales & Branch Manager (NSW) or the General Manager (Perth). You will work alongside a highly experienced and supportive team across Sales, Engineering and Production who take pride in their work and know how to have a little fun along the way
What You Will Do:
• Drive new business growth and expand existing accounts through strategic planning and relationship building.
• Work closely with clients to provide engineered sealing solutions, leveraging our specialised range of seals, innovative manufacturing concepts and superior elastomeric material.
• Respond to enquiries with tailored technical recommendations and solutions that address client needs.
• Build trusted partnerships and be seen as a proactive solutions-focused advisor to your clients.
What You Bring
Education & Experience
• 5 years of external sales experience, ideally in a technical or industrial setting.
• Existing network and territory knowledge or key account management experience is a plus.
• Strong technical acumen with the ability to communicate confidently with engineers, tradespeople and procurement professionals.
• A mechanical trade or engineering qualification will be highly regarded.
• Relevant experience in hydraulics or sealing industry is highly desirable.
Skills & Attributes
• Highly motivated, innovative and proactive with a strong customer focus
• Ability to work independently, manage your schedule and travel within WA, NSW or interstate when required.
• Excellent negotiation, presentation and communication skills with the ability to influence and build long-term relationships.
• A successful track record of hunting for new business, supporting and developing key accounts and achieving targets.
• Strong time management skills and the ability to prioritise competing demands effectively.
• Must hold a current Australian driver's licence.
