
APS 6 Senior HR Advisor- Capability Development

Our Federal Government client is seeking an APS 6 Senior HR Advisor- Capability Development for an ongoing s26 or 12-month non-ongoing opportunity with possibility for extension.
The successful applicant will provide specialised advice and assist in the delivery of HR strategies and business improvement programs related to learning and development.
It is expected that the applicant will work under limited direction.
The successful applicant will demonstrate well-developed communication skills, initiative, an effective ability to work both independently and collaboratively within and across teams, an ability to set work priorities and excellent time management/ project delivery skills.
They will be customer focussed, highly motivated, driven and adaptable to the Agency environment; and demonstrate the ability to build and maintain relationships across the organisation.
The successful applicant will also demonstrate excellent written skills and well-developed technical HR knowledge and experience in relevant disciplines.
High level of discretion and integrity are expected as you will often be required to work with sensitive and confidential material.
Primary outcomes and accountabilities:
In addition to meeting the Integrated Leadership System profile of the Integrated Leadership System profile of the APS 6 level, primary outcomes and accountabilities will involve:
1. Work collaboratively to achieve positive learning outcomes.
2. Provide consistent, accurate and timely advice and support on your area of expertise.
3. Develop and implement learning and development strategies and solutions to build the capability of our workforce to meet strategic goals.
4. Assess learning and development interventions using appropriate learning metrics that target business performance.
5. Partner with subject matter experts and external stakeholders to deliver various corporate, leadership and specialised learning and development programs and strategies across the Agency.
6. Establish and maintain relationships, across the Agency and with external bodies such as the APS Academy and learning providers.
7. Manage Agency learning management system (LMS) Acorn and undertaking reporting, as required.
8. Manage contracts and procurement activities.
9. Supervising, coaching and/or mentoring staff and managers where required.
10. Identification and proactive management of risk, including implementation of controls and treatments.
Qualifications:
Qualifications in Human Resources/ Learning and Development and/or other relevant qualifications, highly desirable.
Previous experience in similar roles with two or more years' experience, highly desirable.
Essential Requirements:The successful candidate must be an Australian Citizen.
The successful candidate will need to have the Ability to obtain and maintain a Baseline Vetting (Protected) security clearance or hold a current security clearance of an appropriate level.
Ability to obtain and maintain a national police check.
