Position Overview:

We are looking for a dedicated and focused individual with great customer service and attention to detail, who can support & enable our growing Sales Department to be successful.

Candidates must have a minimum of 3-5 years of sales experience to be considered for this position.

Australian work rights are essential for this role.

The primary role of the MSP Business Development & Account Executive is to liaise with potential new & existing clients to generate new leads, business opportunities, new and retention sales across a wide range of ICT products & services, as well as client relationship building, through on-going client engagement.

ICT/technology industry experience is preferred but not essential for this position.

Reporting directly to the Sales Manager, this role will require visiting, meeting & communicating regularly with clients, meeting monthly target budgets, supporting the Sales Department, Senior Management, whole business and procurement of products & services provided to our clients.

This position requires frequent client-facing travel (50%+) as part of regular client engagement activities.

  • Previous experience in lead generation, business development, account management, sales & procurement
  • A keen desire to meet new & existing clients in person, grow & nurture business opportunities
  • A general understand of the ICT industry, including ICT hardware & software products from Tier 1 vendors
  • Previous experience with Managed Services Providers (MSP) or IT&T lead generation, business development & sales backgrounds
  • A natural talent for building and nurturing client relationships
  • Excellent presentation / communication skills both written & verbal
  • A confident and friendly manner both written & verbal
  • Exceptional organisation skills and a structured, systematic approach
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work within a team and work closely with Senior Management
  • Proactive and dynamic attitude

Key Responsibilities:

As an MSP Business Development & Account Executive, you will be responsible for:

  • Active out-bound & in-bound sales duties, including lead generation / business development activities to attract new clients and upsell to existing clients
  • Handling enquiries from new & existing clients
  • Assisting in the building & management of the new leads, sales pipeline, including data input, tracking and follow-up
  • Generating quotes and proposals, as requested by new or existing clients & Senior Management across all ICT product & service offerings
  • Liaise and negotiate with ICT suppliers to provide competitive prices
  • Maintain software licence renewals schedule, generate & follow-up quotes
  • Responsible for updating and maintaining monthly Sales Department documents and reports, as instructed by Sales Manager
  • Attending regular weekly & monthly Sales Department meetings
  • Attending regular weekly & monthly business networking events (during & after business hours)
  • Provide failover for Admin duties, as required (e.g. answering phones)
  • Additional tasks as indicated by Senior Management
