Club Development Officer

• Six month fixed term, part time contract (22.8 hours per week)
• Salary Range $71,042.73 – $81,050.78 per annum pro rata depending on qualifications and experience
• Located at Beatty Park Leisure Centre

About the Role

Reporting to the Coordinator Sport & Recreation, this position will support the growth, sustainability and capacity building of community sporting clubs and recreational organisations within the City. The successful applicant will be the first point of contact for club enquiries and will assist in the implementation of club development programs, manage club communications and provide administrative support to sport and recreation services.

What are we looking for?

To be successful in this role you will possess:

• A strong understanding of community sport and recreation, particularly club structures and governance
• Experience and understanding of contemporary trends in the sport and recreation industry
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop strong relationships and resolve differing points of view via mutually beneficial outcomes
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills with the ability to effectively address matters and/or situations that may arise
• Previous experience working or volunteering in community sport or recreation
• Experience in coordinating community-based programs and/or providing administrative support
• A current National Police Clearance
• A current Working with Children Check (if required)
