As a Specialist Systems Support, you will be responsible for providing proof of concept solutions and data-driven insights in order to improve operational efficiencies within QantasLink Flight Operations. This role supports the delivery of strategic and operational projects to ensure the compliance of critical systems and business expectations are met.
You will work with all areas of the QantasLink business, including Flight Crew, to continue support the existing applications and provide operational safety recommendations through analysis of historical data. You will also work with software providers to ensure that the applications being developed meet the standards and aligned with business needs.
In addition, this role is responsible for conducting system checks to ensure the systems are operating in a compliant manner. Furthermore, this role will provide after-hours technical support to Flight Crew for IT-related issues.
To be successful in the role you will possess:
- Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology, Aviation or equivalent experience. Engineering or Software Development is preferable.
- Experience in system support, application management, or IT project delivery.
- Experience in programming and the ability to learn new programming languages.
- Advanced analytical proficiency, with the ability to interpret operational data and provide actionable insights.
- Exemplary communication skills with the ability to build lasting relationships across all stakeholders.
- Proactive and solutions-focused mindset.
- Meticulous attention to details and a commitment to accuracy in all aspects of work.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic operational environment.
- Familiarity with aircraft operations or airline business is an advantage.
