About the team
The Program Planning and Reporting (PP&R) section within the Indigo Program Management Office Branch supports the successful delivery of the Program through detailed planning and reporting functions. This includes the prioritisation of objectives and development of, and reporting against, the Program's delivery roadmap.
Using a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) methodology, the team is also responsible for the functional capability of Agile Delivery Management. The PP&R section oversees the development of Program-level Artifacts to support good governance.
The team also plays a critical enabling role within an Agile Framework (SAFe) operating as the central coordination point that ensures the Agile Release Train (ART) functions smoothly and remains aligned to the program's strategic objectives. This function focuses on supporting continuous, synchronised delivery of the ART across multiple Agile teams by reinforcing SAFe practices, facilitating cadence-based delivery cycles, and enabling good governance through visibility of progress, dependencies, and delivery risks and issues.
Specifically for this role, the Section supports Agile Delivery by coordinating cross-Agile Delivery Teams (ADTs) activities, tracking ART-level metrics, surfacing delivery and scope changes, and maintaining the rhythm of ART ceremonies, including PI planning, ART syncs, system demos, showcase and mid-end PI progress sessions. The function ensures delivery alignment across product, technical and stakeholder dimensions and helps sustain momentum through effective support of collaboration, structured planning, and Lean Governance.
About The Project
The Indigo Program has an integral role to play in the introduction of updated (and in some cases new) systems that underpin the way that the AEC operates. The importance of the program is not only evidenced by our ability to attract specialists and experts from across the nation, but the ongoing commitment that Government has made to ensure that the Program is a success.
The Enterprise Strategy and Transformation Division (ESTD) is responsible for enabling, assuring, Agile governance based on the Scaled Agile Framework advising on the current and future activities of the Indigo Program. The Division has engaged specialists who are experts in their respective fields, and at the same time provides opportunities for change, growth and development for individuals who want to apply their skills and experience in a new environment, while building, shaping, and potentially redirecting their careers.
This is a flagship Program for the AEC as nothing like it has ever been done before, making it a once-in-a-generation program of work, that directly impacts the delivery of democracy in Australia. The Indigo Program Management Office Branch is pivotal to the successful delivery of the Indigo Program. It is the Branch that steers the direction of the Program ensuring that the Program meets its obligations to Government, while providing critical business support services across the Group.
