This is a pivotal moment for the business, we're entering our next phase of explosive growth in redefining workplace food experiences - and we're looking for an Operations Manager (Sydney) to join our dynamic team and support the backbone of our commercial operations through data accuracy, process improvement, and structured project delivery.

About the Role

As the Operations Manager on the ground in Sydney, you will be responsible for ensuring an exceptional experience for our Pantry customers by overseeing local fulfilment operations, managing supplier relationships, and driving day-to-day team performance. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to maintain high operational standards, implement key processes, and contribute to our cost and service goals. This is a hands-on, fast-paced role that combines team leadership, process development, and budget ownership – playing a vital part in how we scale our operations and deliver consistently high service levels.

Key Responsibilities

Team Management (Sydney Operations):

• Lead and manage the day-to-day performance of the operational team based in Sydney, including rostering, shift planning, and ensuring adequate coverage aligned with business needs

Operational Performance & KPIs:

• Take ownership of key operational KPIs including stock availability, supplier service levels, and wastage reduction — while ensuring our Pantry customers receive consistently high service standards that foster long-term satisfaction and loyalty.

Customer Onboarding:

• Oversee the onboarding process for new customers, ensuring smooth operational setup, clear communication of expectations, and successful service launch

Process Development & SOPs:

• Support the development and optimisation of operational workflows, including the creation and documentation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to drive consistency and efficiency

Budget Ownership & Ordering:

• Hold partial ownership of the operations budget by managing ordering processes effectively and ensuring alignment with cost control targets

Skills and Qualifications:

Experience & Skills:

• Minimum 2 years working experience and 1 year people management experience (strong plus for experience food retail / e-commerce / marketplace)
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work with large data sets accurately in Excel / Google Sheets.
• Bonus: Experience with SQL, data cleaning, or ERP/Master Data systems
