About the Role - Sales Representative QLD

You will be based in QLD (Brisbane / Gold Coast / Sunshine Coast) and will be working from both home and on the road representing our range of decking, cladding & building products to local stores and installers. Timber Distributors head office is in NSW so this is a remote position where you will take charge of growing sales within Queensland. The role touches on Sales, Customer Service and Business Development.

Key responsibilities:

  • Working as the sole representative in the territory (QLD), build on-going relationships with new and existing stockists, travel to visit hardware stores and installers with a view to growing sales of our product ranges
  • Talk with specifiers, designers, landscapers and architects to get our products on plans, following projects through to order
  • Work with our customer service team to help service incoming leads and guide customers through their journey to completing their dream decking project, including helping with samples, doing quotes and providing technical advice
  • Responding professionally & knowledgeably about our range of products. (With training)
  • Assist with trade shows and events
  • Effectively manage your time, being organized and prioritizing tasks with a goal of improving sales conversions and reducing overheads

Our ideal applicant:

  • Has worked previously in a sales, customer service or marketing role
  • Can work independently and take responsibility for a territory
  • Has excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Is a team player - enthusiastic to contribute to the success of the business and get ahead
  • Has exceptional organisational skills, a high attention to detail and good time management
  • Can use Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook/Thunderbird
  • (Optional) Experience within related industries i.e. building, hardware stores, timber, interior design etc, or knowledge of composite decking or generally an interest in renovating, architecture etc would be very highly regarded
  • (Optional) Having a degree or TAFE qualifications would be highly regarded

Location: The role is based in South East Queensland - (i.e. Brisbane, Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast). Our head office is based in Morisset, NSW 2264.

Salary Range: $80,000 to $120,000 p.a. + Super + Performance Bonus
