An exciting opportunity has emerged for a Delivery Lead to join a newly established directorate in Brisbane CBD, where your expertise will shape the future of information governance and digital enablement across a major infrastructure portfolio. This role allows you to drive meaningful change, uplift data practices, and implement new ways of working in a collaborative environment. Using Agile and Lean methodologies, modern tools like Jira, Power BI, and SharePoint, you'll deliver impactful solutions while equipping teams for ongoing success. What You'll Do:

As Delivery Lead within the Targeted Business Uplift team, you'll spearhead a two-year program enhancing information governance practices across a major infrastructure division. Your focus will be on facilitating Agile processes to deliver high-value solutions in three-month increments. Collaborating with diverse stakeholders, you'll address unique challenges while embedding sustainable improvements into business-as-usual operations. Key responsibilities include:

  • Building strong relationships with stakeholders to align priorities and deliver effective solutions.
  • Facilitating Agile ceremonies (stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews) to mature Agile practices within the team.
  • Coordinating quarterly planning cycles to ensure progress visibility and alignment with evolving priorities.
  • Championing pragmatic uplifts in data governance by clarifying ownership roles and improving data quality/metadata management.
  • Supporting teams in embedding changes for sustained improvements post-project completion.
  • Leveraging tools like Jira for workflow management, Power BI for reporting insights, and SharePoint for documentation sharing.
What You Bring:

To excel in this role, you'll bring substantial experience leading teams through complex organisational change-ideally within government or large organisations. Your background includes uplifting information governance frameworks or implementing robust data management strategies. Essential skills include:

  • 5+ years' leadership experience in Queensland Government managing change initiatives with measurable outcomes.
  • Proven ability to partner with business areas to plan and deliver impactful projects.
  • Expertise in uplifting data governance practices (e.g., ownership structures, metadata processes).
  • Strong communication skills to distill complex ideas into accessible language for varied audiences.
  • Hands-on experience applying Agile methodologies; Scrum Master certification is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with tools like Jira, Power BI, or SharePoint is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • A collaborative mindset focused on continuous improvement and adaptability during transitions.
