Join the vibrant team at Harry the Hirer, the premier name in the event and exhibition industry. We are seeking a skilled and motivated Signage Installer to contribute to our exciting projects across Melbourne's top venues and events.

Skills and Experience

  • High skill level of installing digital prints & SAVs to walls.
  • High skill level of installing clear and frosted film to glazing.
  • Experience in fabric/PVC banners installations is highly desirable but not essential.
  • Previous experience in installing light boxes, vinyl signs, SAVs, directional signs and LED/Neon signs is highly desirable but not essential.
  • Proficient in the use of hand tools other job-specific equipment.
  • Must hold White Card & suitable licences and accreditation. These are highly desirable: Forklift (LF & Telehandler), EWP & Boom
  • Ideally hold current Australian Drivers Licence
  • Must be available to work after hours and weekends if and when required.
  • Knowledge of WH&S practices.
  • Ensure PPE is always worn as required and available at all times.

Your duties will include:

  • Ensure the highest quality workmanship, so that the product is installed correctly as per job details provided.
  • Take lead on larger install projects, and when required supervise a team of installers and ensure the installation is done smoothly, on time, at high quality, and within budgets.
  • Help estimate and maintain cost within job budgets.
  • Pack & load vehicles safely & securely if required.
  • Perform inspection and quality assurance on installations, communicating defects to Management.
  • Ensure field paperwork and administrative activities are fulfilled timely and accurately.
  • Liaise with clients on-site.
  • Shift works, night work, and weekend work if and when required.
  • Work at all of Victoria's major events & exhibitions like Australian Open, F1 Grand Prix & Spring Racing Carnival.
  • Travel to regional Victoria if required.
  • Occasional interstate travel may be required.
  • Work with the factory team when not working on installations onsite.
