The role:

We currently seek an energetic experienced Metal Fabricator to join our team starting as soon as possible.

To be considered for this exciting role you will have experience in the signage or similar industry (e.g. Fabrication, Fitting & metal work etc.), delivering jobs ranging from small to large scale rollouts, on schedule and to a high standard.

You must have, extensive experience in sheet metal fabrications, MIG, TIG, and ARC Welding, Aluminum as well as Steel Fabrication to a high quality and finish, and using overhead and metal working equipment and tools.

You will be supported by an exceptional, supportive Management Team and will be responsible for working with the Fabrication Team Leader, in many aspects of signage.

Duties include:

  • Fabricating signs according to instruction set by the Team Leader and the Job sheet.
  • Planning and organising work according the Job Sheet from start to completion with excellent time management skills that facilitate on time completion of goals/projects.
  • Being involved in pre-fitting fabricated signs and preparing it for next stage.
  • Being able to multi task and take on additional tasks as and when required.
  • Planning & keeping track of materials required for completing the job.
  • Flexibility, being prepared to work on Assembly and other aspects of signage manufacturing, as and when required.
  • Being actively involved in Housekeeping.

The successful applicant will ideally possess:

  • Achievement oriented, determined to attain set goals
  • Attention to detail ensuring accuracy and identifying errors to be addressed
  • Capable of working in a team environment and autonomously within the context of the position
  • General signage experience.
  • Great communication skills.
  • Ability to work off job sheets and drawings, reading instructions and follow direction.
  • Experience working with acrylic, A.C.M. aluminum and other sheet materials.
  • Consistent cutting and measuring skills.
  • Experience with plant machinery.
  • Forklift licence (desirable but not must)
  • Work in accordance with standard operating procedures and established criteria
  • Follow safe work practices and report workplace hazards\

We are looking for someone with the following attributes:

  • Minimum of 5 years' Metal Fabrication experience
  • Knowledge in dynamics in signage and related industries
  • Certificate III in Engineering - Fabrication Trade, would be an added advantage
  • Work in accordance with standard operating procedures and established criteria
  • Follow safe work practices and report workplace hazards
  • Multitasking and time management skills
  • Crane operator / rigger licence would be advantageous

To be successful in this role you must:

  • Australian certification relating to this industry proving your skills/qualifications
  • Hold an unrestricted visa
  • Be a permanent resident of Australia
  • Adhere to all health and safety guidelines
  • Act with integrity, honesty and professionalism at all times
