About the role

We are looking for an experienced Practice Manager to join our passionate team at Birds of Paradise, a leading healthcare provider in Cairns, Queensland. As our Practice Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of our medical practice, ensuring the smooth and efficient delivery of high-quality patient care.

What you'll be doing

  • Manage and oversee all administrative and operational functions of the medical practice
  • Develop and implement policies, procedures, and systems to enhance practice efficiency and productivity
  • Ensure compliance with relevant healthcare regulations, standards, and accreditation requirements
  • Supervise and mentor the administrative staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment
  • Liaise with healthcare providers, patients, and other stakeholders to address inquiries and resolve issues
  • Oversee the practice's financial management, including budgeting, invoicing, and financial reporting
  • Contribute to the strategic planning and decision-making processes of the organisation

What we're looking for

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a healthcare practice management role
  • Proven track record of successfully managing the operations of a medical practice
  • Strong understanding of healthcare regulations, policies, and accreditation standards
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with patients, providers, and staff
  • Proficient in financial management, including budgeting, invoicing, and reporting
  • Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Collaborative team player with a strong focus on providing exceptional patient care
