At GHD, we're proud to support the delivery of impactful infrastructure projects across Northern Australia. We're currently seeking a Project Manager to join our Northern Australian Project Management team in either our Darwin or Cairns office and lead multidisciplinary teams in delivering high-quality, budget-conscious, and client-focused outcomes.
As a Project Manager, you'll be accountable for the successful delivery of moderately complex projects from inception to completion. You'll oversee project tendering, project planning, resourcing, execution, and client engagement, ensuring alignment with GHD's systems and processes.
This is a genuine opportunity to grow and develop your career working alongside Senior Project Managers Engineers Architects, Project Controllers and Schedulers.
Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:
- Tender writing and review
- Management and coordination of designers, clients, and multiple stakeholders
- Contract administration on a variety of different contract styles
- Management of small to large sized projects in tendering, design and construction phase
- Managing meetings
- Design management
- Production of reports
- Cost control of projects
- Development and management of programmes
- Superintendents' representative roles
- Work with and assist senior project managers and project directors, and mentoring of junior staff in project management
What you will bring to the role:
- A tertiary qualification in engineering, construction management or other related discipline
- Qualifications in Project Management and AIPM registered will be highly regarded
- Be eligible and prepared to apply for a Defence Security Clearance
- Proven experience managing infrastructure or engineering projects, ideally gained in a consultancy environment.
- Strong commercial acumen and risk management capability.
- Excellent communication
- Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and drive project outcomes.
