About the opportunity

Join HealthShare NSW as a Support Services Officer (Wardsperson) and help us deliver exceptional care to patients every day. These are secure permanent roles offering stability and purpose in a supportive team environment.

You will play a vital role in the day-to-day functioning of our health service. Your work will directly contribute to patient comfort, safety, and dignity while supporting clinical staff to provide the highest standard of care.

What you'll do

  • Assist nursing and clinical staff with patient care and movement.
  • Maintain hygiene and infection control through cleaning duties and linen removal.
  • Manage ward supplies and equipment, including oxygen cylinders.
  • Handle waste safely and transport deceased patients with dignity and care.
  • Always respect patient and staff confidentiality.
