About Sun Metals
Located just 15km from the heart of Townsville, Sun Metals operates one of the world's most advanced zinc refineries. We produce high-quality Special High Grade Zinc and Zinc Alloy, along with valuable by-products including Sulfuric Acid, Copper, Cadmium, and Zinc Ferrite. At Sun Metals, our mission is clear: To be the best zinc refinery in the world. For us, that means leading the industry in three key areas:
- Safety – putting people first every day
- Environmental Responsibility – protecting the planet as we operate
- Competitiveness – driving performance, innovation, and value
Join Our Team as a Sun Metals Environmental Advisor
We are seeking an experienced Environmental Advisor to join our operations team, providing structured, risk-based environmental support across refinery and port operations. This role is ideal for a professional with 3-5 years of mining, refining, or heavy industry experience, looking to bring their skills closer to home in a town-based position while maintaining exposure to complex environmental challenges.
