Role Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic
Junior Project Manager
to join our friendly team at our HQ in Arndell Park. Working alongside one of our skilled Project Managers, on a mixed portfolio, the ideal candidate will have excellent
time management skills, strong attention to detail, clear communication skills and be able to work independently or in a team.

The successful candidate will receive training to complete the following tasks:

  • Ensuring drawings and specifications are up to date and accessible on Procore.
  • Managing disruptions, such as delays caused by missing construction details, extreme weather, or unforeseeable circumstances
  • Collection of SWMS for all contractors
  • Ensuring all plans are up to date on both Procore and the OGP Drive
  • Monitoring daily site diary completion, SOS inductions, and check-ins.
  • Taking minutes at toolbox talks, safety talks.
  • Assist and learn the project management function where applicable
  • Regular monitoring of quality standards, via ITPs at different stages of the projects.
  • Work on construction certificates in conjunction with the builder and external consultants.
  • Procuring all subcontractors and securing contracts.
  • Subcontractor claim tracking and management.
  • Ensuring the progress on the job is on target per the program
  • Updating the program throughout the project as progress is made.
  • Ensuring all team members are productive and meeting task requirements, including monitoring, ITPs and EOTs, safety reports, and other project admin.
  • Conducting team meetings weekly or as needed.
  • Contacting and scheduling bookings in plant hire and equipment.
  • Create a daily and fortnightly schedule, based on the overall program.
  • ITPs and EOT's
  • Assistance in admin, including OC and collection of certificates.
  • Defects management and record keeping.
  • Communicating defects to leading hands for rectification.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Completed tertiary studies in construction/project management (not engineering)
  • Minimum 12 months experience in a similiar role or currently a project management cadet looking for career progression and growth
