Front Office Supervisor - Multiple positions

Position Overview:

An exciting leadership opportunity is now available at the Adelphi Hotel, a vibrant 34-room boutique hotel on Flinders Lane in the heart of Melbourne's CBD. Known for its bold design, personalised service and unforgettable guest experiences, Adelphi is now entering a new chapter — and we're looking for driven and experienced team members - Duty Managers and GSA's.

This role reports directly to the Accommodation Manager, providing a clear pathway for collaboration and professional growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work within set budgets in relation to wage costs and ensure rosters are compiled and adjusted appropriate to demand;

  • Leadership of all team members and functionality within rooms division, food and beverage and management of operations in the absence of Department Managers as required;

  • The ability to ensure guest experience expectations are exceeded at all times;

  • Ensure guest feedback is recorded accurately and action any service recovery process in a prompt and efficient manner;

  • Assist reservations team in ensuring hotel specific standard operating procedures are adhered to;

  • Ensure all accounting practices and processes are achieved per hotel specific standard operating procedures;

  • Work closely with all departments to deliver brand standard accommodation rooms,  food and beverage products and a high standard of services; and

  • Actively contribute towards reaching agreed hotel performance targets and objectives.

Ideal Candidate Qualifications:

  • A proactive, responsible, and adaptable approach to work.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience in managing operations and controlling costs, particularly in labor management.
  • Proven experience in leading, developing, and mentoring a team.
  • A commitment to excellence and a passion for delivering outstanding customer experiences.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of working effectively with both team members and other department heads.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure and manage a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.
  • Impeccable grooming and professional presentation.
  • Solid understanding of the Hospitality Industry (General) Award and workplace safety standards.
  • Previous experience with F&B would be advantageous as would a current RSA.

Position Details:

This casual, part time or full-time position requires flexibility, with a spread of shifts over a 7-day roster, including weekdays, weekends, evenings, and public holidays.
