As our highly valued Senior Manager, People Partnering based in Brisbane CBD, your role will be to act as a strategic advisor and coach to Executives and Senior Leaders, delivering people solutions that drive business performance aligned to the organisational strategy, divisional priorities while enabling the execution of the broader People and Culture (P&C) agenda. You will ensure the seamless execution of the People cycle while collaborating closely with Centres of Excellence (CoE) to co-design and execute future-focused data driven workforce strategies that build capability, drive culture, diversity and inclusion and support sustainable business growth.

You'll make an impact by:  

At a strategic level your impact and contribution will be seen through the development and execution of divisional people plan/s that are aligned with business and organisational priorities anchored to people performance metrics across leadership culture, capability, engagement and efficiencies. The impact of your contribution will be enduring, underpinned by strategic workforce planning, leadership coaching, retention and the development of talent and critical roles.

At an operational level, you ensure the delivery of the people cycle and change initiatives ensuring
they are done on time, in scope with minimal risk. You are enabled to effectively deliver through your strong relationship and influencing skills which
see you as a trusted advisor to the business.

Responsibilities will include:

Strategic Business Partnering

• Act as a strategic advisor to Executives and Senior Leaders, influencing and coaching to drive high-impact people and culture outcomes.

• Deeply understand business strategy, priorities, and performance drivers, translating them into people solutions.

• Develop and execute against divisional People Plans aligned to enterprise and business goals.

Workforce Strategy & Capability

• Partner with the business and CoEs to shape the future workforce, including strategic workforce planning, capability uplift, talent pipelines, and succession and development plans.

• Leverage workforce analytics and insights to inform decisions and proactively address risks or opportunities.

Leadership & Culture

• Shape and support leadership development, succession, and team effectiveness strategies.

• Foster a culture of inclusion, psychological safety, accountability, and performance.

• Lead key people initiatives such as culture change, organisational change and operating model shifts.

CoE & Business Partnering Collaboration

• Partner closely with CoEs to co-create and implement strategic people solutions.

• Champion enterprise-wide initiatives within the business, including performance, D&I, engagement, wellbeing, and change programs.

Governance & Risk

• Ensure people practices are aligned to risk, conduct, compliance and legal obligations.

• Provide advice on more complex employee matters, supporting resolution through the appropriate channels.

Leadership & Influence

• Lead or mentor Business Partners, P&C Advisors and across the broader P&C team.

• Role model Great Southern Banks Values at Work and Show Up behaviours across P&C and the broader organisation

• Represent People & Culture across enterprise working groups as require

Do things differently with us  

To succeed in this role, you will have: 


• 10+ years demonstrated experience as a Senior or Strategic Business Partner

• Previous experience supporting and providing strategic people solutions to Executives and Senior Leadership teams and stakeholders

• Proven knowledge and practice in contemporary People practices aligned to building a future-fit organisation

• Strong influencing and decision-making skills that deliver with impact

• Communication and consultation skills that support a great people experience across the moments that matter

• Change management experience and skills to effectively drive local or enterprise-wide change initiatives including but not limited to organisational change.

• Strong relationship and stakeholder management skills that see you as a trusted advisor.

• Proven employee relations, organisational development or change experience desirable.

• Previous merger experience desirable.
