Role Overview: Amora Riverwalk Melbourne is seeking a dynamic and driven Business Development Manager (BDM) to join our team. This role focuses on proactively driving business through event sales and corporate sales both within Melbourne and interstate. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the hospitality industry, a proven track record in sales, and the ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities in the event and corporate sales sectors.
  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets.
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with existing clients, ensuring repeat business and customer satisfaction.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities for growth.
  • Represent Amora Riverwalk Melbourne at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to promote the hotel.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional materials and campaigns.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals.
  • Negotiate contracts and close deals to secure new business.
  • Monitor competitor activity and adjust sales strategies accordingly.
  • Provide regular reports on sales activities, pipeline, and performance metrics.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 -5 years of experience in a sales role within the hospitality industry, preferably in event and corporate sales.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.
  • Strong network of contacts within the Melbourne and interstate corporate and events markets.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software and other sales tools.
  • A proactive and results-oriented approach.
