DVConnect is seeking a strategic and experienced Workforce Planning Lead to oversee the end-to-end workforce planning and resourcing functions. This role is critical to ensuring the reliable and consistent delivery of our 24/7 services through effective rostering and resource allocation.

The successful candidate will lead the coordination and rostering of staff across all programs, ensuring alignment with service demand, leave provisions, and clinical parameters. The role will also be responsible for identifying, developing, and implementing workforce planning and rostering systems that support operational efficiency and minimise manual intervention.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the workforce planning function, including strategic oversight of rostering and resource allocation.
  • Ensure rosters are appropriately filled in line with service demand, staffing availability, and clinical requirements.
  • Develop and implement systems and tools to optimise workforce planning and reduce reliance on manual processes.
  • Provide strategic direction to the Workforce Planning team, identifying issues and implementing effective solutions.
  • Collect and analyse data to forecast future staffing requirements and conduct gap analyses.
  • Make evidence-based recommendations to address workforce gaps and support service delivery teams in strategic decision-making.
  • Contribute to budgeting processes through workforce insights and planning.

To be considered, you will have;

  • More than 5 years workforce planning and scheduling experience, preferably within a 24/7 environemnt or a not-for-profit/non-government organisation.
  • Minim 3 years leadership experience in a comparable role, with demonstrated ability to provide strategic direction and deliver business/teams outcomes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications at an intermediate level or above.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with proven ability to engage, consult, and build effective working relationships.
  • Demonstrated resilience and courageous leadership, with a commitment to continuous quality improvement and fostering a positive workplace culture.
  • Proven ability to manage complex and competing priorities, including the planning, coordination, and delivery of critical projects within agreed timeframes.
  • Teritary qualification in Business or other relavent fields is desirable but not mandatory.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the SCHADS Awards is highly regarded.

Remuneration

  • SCHADS Award Level 6 (Award level and pay point is dependent on qualifications and level of relevant experience).
