Nepean Hospital is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic team within Cancer Services. In this rewarding role, you will provide advanced clinical expertise, leadership and holistic care that empowers patients and supports their quality of life throughout their cancer journey. This role is focused on supporting community clients of Cancer services, with some support for Cancer (Acute) Inpatient services.

What you will bring to the role:
- Current Registration to practice as an Occupational Therapist with the Occupational Therapy Board, Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (AHPRA) and Current Drivers licence and willingness to use for work purpose travel. 
- Advanced level of clinical knowledge and experience across a range of conditions, including experience in lymphedema management, or willingness to undertake recognised training. 
- Demonstrated high level skills in verbal and non-verbal communication with consumers teams and other stakeholders, including excellence in negotiation, decision making, advocacy and collaborative consultation. Demonstrated experience in documentation and formal reporting. 
- Demonstrated well developed clinical knowledge and problem solving skills in an acute hospital or ambulatory setting within a multidisciplinary team, with ability to provide clinical services to client groups of a complex nature requiring advanced practice skills. 
- Demonstrated experience and skill in staff and student supervision. 
- Demonstrated high level organisational and time management skills in an environment of competing clinical / administrative demands. 
- Demonstrated ability to advise, lead and participate in service development, change management and quality improvement initiatives within the OT environment and more broadly across a multi-disciplinary team. 
- Demonstrated experience in the use of relevant evidence based practice resources to guide decision making and commitment to ongoing education /professional development.
