The Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District Alcohol and Other Drugs service offers free, non-judgmental services and treatments for drug and/or alcohol use, including information and support for families. Our service offers specialist drug and alcohol doctors, nurses and allied health staff who respect the client's right to choose from a range of treatments offered with our services underpinned by a philosophy of harm reduction.

What You Will Bring To The Role
- Tertiary qualifications, professional registration/membership in one of the following areas: i) Occupational Therapy – minimum Bachelor Degree and general registration with AHPRA; or; ii) Counselling - Counselling qualification with ACA L3-4 registration (Australian Counselling Association) or PACFA Clinical Registrant status (Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia); or; iii) Social Work – Degree in Social Work from an accredited course providing eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers); or; iv) Psychologist – a four year degree in psychology, being a three year degree with a fourth year honours in psychology; or who has qualifications deemed equivalent by the employer, and has full registration with the Psychology Board of Australia; or; v) Registered Nurse - Current registration to practice as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (AHPRA);
- Demonstrated clinical experience in a Drug and Alcohol treatment setting and the provision of evidence based interventions for alcohol and other drug using clients.
- Demonstrated ability to liaise with a range of internal and external stakeholders, with a particular focus on Local Health District services, Criminal Justice System, and community-based support services
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a member of a multidisciplinary team in providing drug and alcohol services to court mandated clients
- Proven high quality computer literacy, written and verbal communication including the preparation of court reports and clinical notes
- Experience in, or commitment to, working with individuals and families from Indigenous backgrounds and/or diverse cultural backgrounds.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Current Driver's License and willingness to use for work purpose travel
