THE ROLE

We are currently seeking a Light Vehicle Mechanic to join our Kewdale workshop working on a 2/1 roster from 6.00am to 6.00pm with some regional travel.

As a Linkforce Light Vehicle Mechanic you will:

  • Conduct routine maintenance work (replacing fluids, lubricating parts etc.) in line with maintenance strategies on Light Vehicles, Light Trucks, generators and compressors
  • Ensure service sheets and Work Orders filled out correctly and maintenance systems updated accordingly
  • Inspect vehicle engine and mechanical/electrical/air-condition components to diagnose issues accurately providing recommendations for repair
  • Inspect vehicle computer and electronic systems to repair, maintain and upgrade
  • Fitting of accessories including Beacons, work/spotlights, stereos, revers cameras, UHF radios, off road equipment and other safety devices/systems
  • Provide accurate duration estimates for a repair or maintenance job
  • Road test vehicles to ensure road wroth before handed back to operations
  • Cleaning and maintaining workshop environment and tooling

ABOUT YOU

To be considered you will hold the following:

  • Light Vehicle Automotive Mechanic trade qualification
  • Proven Experience and strong track record of successful automotive repairs and maintenance.
  • Experience in Toyota, Hino and Isuzu highly desirable
  • Proficiency in identifying intricate mechanical and electronic problems across vehicle models.
  • Commitment to delivering quality work with keen attention to detail.
  • Excelling in team interactions through effective communication skills.
  • Relevant Certification Preferred Automotive Technology or related certification/degree.
  • Relevant Certification in automotive electrical and air-condition technology highly desirable
  • Working efficiently in fast-paced environments without compromising accuracy.
  • Valid Driver's License: With a clean driving record
  • Experience within the mining sector is highly desirable
  • A National Police Check
  • Australian work rights
  • A pre-employment medical
