ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

This newly created and exciting role will see a high performing individual coordinate and deliver two of NT PHN's flagship events, being Compass Conference (health conference hosted at the Darwin Convention Centre) and the Health Professional of the Year Awards (a growing gala dinner). You will also be responsible for key organisational projects, including NT PHN's sponsorship program, overseeing external events the Company support with funding.  Reporting to the Marketing and Communications Manager, the role will work closely with an external events coordinator, NT PHN'S Education Team, and two internal committees to help shape the 2026 events.  The role will be responsible for the oversight of project planning, logistics, stakeholder management, governance processes, reporting, and providing continuous quality improvement.

ABOUT YOU

You are a passionate, self-motivated person who loves organising meaningful events.  The chosen candidate will be available for an 18-month period, commencing in January 2026.

Applicants must be available to work from 1 July 2026 through to 31 August 2026 as this will be when our flagship events take place, therefore annual leave will may be approved over this time.

To be successful in this role, you will have experience in event & project management of large-scale events, proven stakeholder engagement & relationship management skills, high-level organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities & deadlines, a proven ability to exercise calm, confident leadership in high pressure situations and experience in applying continuous quality improvement principles.
