Senior Cost Planner / Associate

We are working with one of Australia's leading construction and building QS firms based in Melbourne with multiple offices across the country.

Our client have been around for over 45 years as an established cost management practise and have long-term partnerships with some of the largest building and construction companies across the country.

With a low turn over of staff and an exciting diverse portfolio of work, this is a fantastic company to join long-term who can keep every day different.

As Senior Planner by background, you will be experienced in optimising the use of available resources to complete work plan scopes within budget and time constraints.

Key exposure includes:

  • Resource Optimisation: Able to work in an integrated planning, cost, and risk environment.
  • Scheduling Methodology: Able to follow established planning and scheduling methodology.
  • Schedule Risk Analysis: Able to carry out Schedule Risk Analysis throughout the project life cycle.
  • Project Milestones: Able to Develop Project Milestone and Progress tracking baselines.
  • Contractor Management: Ensure contractor compliance and manage performance.

Associate Responsibilities:

· Business Development – Opportunities and prospects are proactively sourced and converted to drive growth and expand the company's client base.

· Team Management – Teams are working effectively with advice and support provided

· Project Leadership – Projects are effectively managed to ensure on time on budget for the client

Qualifications / Background:

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree or relevant equivalent.
  • Experience: Extensive experience in a project planning role, ideally consultancy side.
  • Planning & Scheduling: Extensive experience in planning & scheduling of projects, ideally multi-disciplined sector background
  • Software Proficiency: Experienced user of Primavera Project Planner 6.
  • Risk & Data Analysis: Experience with risk identification and analysis and data analysis.
  • Project Management: Demonstrated knowledge of project management principles (PMP certification is desirable).
