Senior Planner / Buyer – Media Agency

  • Bayside offices – full-time, 5 days onsite

Our client is a respected, independent media agency with a diverse portfolio of around 60 clients spanning travel, health, politics, education, auto, solar and more.

They are seeking a
Senior Planner / Buyer
with a strong offline media skill set to join a close-knit team of two. This is a role where you'll take real ownership of client relationships and deliver meaningful results. You'll lead the planning and buying of traditional channels, ensuring campaigns are tightly aligned to business objectives while working alongside a digital team who handle online.

This is a hands-on role in a collaborative, fast-paced environment where curiosity, accountability and commercial acumen are valued.

What you'll be doing

  • Leading client relationships end-to-end: from brief and strategy to execution, reporting and optimisation
  • Planning, negotiating and booking traditional media across all channels
  • Monitoring performance, identifying optimisation opportunities, and course-correcting where needed
  • Managing creative briefing, trafficking and delivery
  • Preparing clear, commercially-focused reporting that ties results back to client KPI's
  • Contributing to agency growth by identifying process improvements and fresh opportunities

What we're looking for

  • 4+ years' experience in a media agency, with strong hands-on trading across traditional media
  • Solid understanding of online media (not hands-on, but enough to collaborate with the digital team)
  • A strategic thinker who can translate metrics into compelling results
  • Confident communicator—strong in client meetings, negotiations and presentations
  • Someone who thrives on accountability and genuinely cares about client success
