Are you a seasoned receptionist or admin professional with a strong background in the veterinary or animal services industry?

This isn't your average reception role — you'll be the face and backbone of our busy practice, trusted to keep everything running smoothly, independently, and to a high standard.

We're looking for someone with 10+ years of professional experience, ideally including 2–3+ years in a veterinary reception or admin role, who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys sole-charge responsibility, and takes real pride in being the steady, reliable support a busy clinic depends on.

This role offers variety, responsibility, and meaningful work — all without weekend hours. Salary range advertised is for a permanent employee, not casual.

What You'll Be Doing (Reception is 85% of the role)

·       Managing reception solo: phones, emails, appointments, and welcoming clients

·       Providing a calm, professional presence front-of-house

·       Keeping admin systems organised and running smoothly

·       Occasionally assisting with minor procedures – we'll train you (see below)

About You

·       At least 10 years of professional work experience, including 2–3+ years in a vet or animal-related reception/admin role

·       A natural ability to stay calm and prioritise in a busy environment

·       A reputation for reliability, initiative and professionalism

·       Strong communication and multitasking skills

·       MUST have reception experience. This is vital.

Desirable (but not essential)

·       Confidence restraining dogs or cats

·       Experience with IV cannulas, blood collection, or assisting during basic procedures

·       Familiarity with veterinary software or medical reception systems
