With 3 clinics (Hawthorn East Vet, Kew Vet & Cattery & Alphington & Fairfield Vet) you will be joining a large, supportive team of experienced vets and nurses who work collaboratively to make this workplace great.
**About the role**
Receptionists are as important to the practice as our Veterinarians & Nurses. Being a welcome first point of contact for our clients, with readiness to address their concerns and meet their expectations, is crucial to this role.
Core abilities:
- Answering phones in a prompt, polite, and friendly manner.
- Ability to deal with multiple phone lines and face to face contact simultaneously.
- Efficient management of appointment diary.
- Ability to learn and operate multiple software programs.
- Active promotion of our services and products to clients in clinic, on phone or online.
- Managing reminder and call back systems.
- Triaging emergencies enquiries, via phone or in person.
- Knowledge of invoicing system and correct processing of payments.
- Oversight of daily banking reconciliation.
- Account monitoring.
- Accurate processing of patient information and filing on practice management software.
- Accurate processing of client information and maintaining confidentiality at all times.
- Cleaning and ensuring safe and hygienic workspaces.
- Knowledge of OH&S issues applicable to the reception area.
- Accurate and efficient inventory control including stock, stationery and other supplies.
- Ensuring legal paperwork including consent forms, admission and discharge notes, and medical notes are recorded in an accurate and timely manner.

The role is full time with one RDO per month. No Public Holidays or Sundays are required. Remuneration is well above award and is commensurate with experience.
Please note: We love training the next generation of veterinary nurses, however this position will not develop into a nursing role.
