BSH Logistics is a family-owned courier/transport business based in Sydney NSW. We specialise in same-day delivery, contract logistics, medical deliveries, dangerous goods and time-sensitive freight on behalf of small to large businesses across Sydney metro, Regional NSW and Interstate. We are experiencing significant growth and with that are on the lookout for an experienced Business Development Manager to keep the momentum going and continue to grow the business.

The Opportunity

This is a high-impact, revenue-owning role with full accountability for new business acquisition and ongoing account management.

You will be responsible for bringing new customers on board, onboarding them successfully, and then managing and growing those accounts over time to maximise long-term value, retention and profitability.

With a strong base salary and uncapped commission, this role offers realistic OTE of $180k–$210k+ for a high performer.

Qualifications & experience

  • Proven experience in a Business Development, Sales or Account Management role within the transport, courier or logistics industry.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of BDM/sales experience specifically within the courier/transport industry is required.
  • Demonstrated ability to win new business and manage client accounts post-sale, driving long-term revenue growth.
  • Strong track record of consistently achieving and exceeding sales targets and KPIs.
  • Solid understanding of logistics, transport and supply chain operations, including service delivery requirements and cost considerations.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills, with confidence engaging senior stakeholders and decision-makers.
  • Commercially minded with the ability to identify profitable, sustainable opportunities, not just volume.
  • Proficient in CRM systems and Microsoft Office, with strong pipeline and reporting discipline.
  • Highly self-motivated, organised and capable of working autonomously while collaborating with internal teams.
  • Experience with Transport Management Systems (TransVirtual highly desirable).
  • Australian citizenship or permanent residency is required for this position.

Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end revenue function, including new business acquisition, client onboarding and ongoing account management.
  • Proactively identify, target and secure high-value customers, focusing on scalable, repeatable and profitable revenue opportunities.
  • Drive consistent monthly revenue growth, with accountability for both volume and margin.
  • Manage the full sales lifecycle: prospecting, meetings, solution design, pricing, proposals, negotiations and contract close.
  • Successfully onboard new clients and act as the primary commercial contact for allocated accounts.
  • Manage and grow existing accounts, identifying upsell, cross-sell and contract expansion opportunities.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with key decision-makers, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Develop tailored logistics solutions in collaboration with operations to ensure commercial viability and service excellence.
  • Maintain a strong, accurate sales pipeline and forecasting discipline within the CRM.
  • Attend relevant networking events, industry functions and client meetings to strengthen market presence.
  • Contribute to growth strategy, pricing discussions and market positioning as the business scales.
