About Us

At Transgrid, our work improves the lives of millions – from lighting up sports fields, schools and homes, to powering the wheels of commerce and everything else in between. Now it's your turn to make it happen.

This is an exciting time in the energy industry with the transition to renewable energy. Recent government policy documents outline plans to facilitate increasing transmission interconnection between states and development of renewable energy zones.

The Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to be part of an organisation dedicated to nation-building renewable energy projects that will provide on-demand energy and large-scale storage for many generations to come.

Due to an internal secondment opportunity we are now seeking a Sourcing & Procurement Business Partner (ICT) to join us on a 17-month fixed-term contract. In this role, you'll partner with internal stakeholders to shape medium-to-long-term procurement strategies, lead sourcing activities from tender to contract award, and manage key supplier relationships.

As part of our Procurement team, you'll gain end-to-end exposure across IT category management, sourcing, contract development and management, supplier relationship management, market analysis, and risk mitigation—contributing to strategic initiatives that support Transgrid's future needs.

About you

We're seeking a collaborative, technically capable professional who can step straight into the role. Ideally, you'll have:

  • Tertiary qualifications or 5+ years' experience in a similar industry
  • Proven success in procurement strategy, sourcing, and supplier relationship management
  • Strong negotiation, influencing, and communication skills
  • Ability to challenge the norm, drive efficient outcomes, and work with professionalism and integrity
  • Knowledge of procurement systems (e.g. SAP/Ariba) and legal frameworks is desirable

Recognition & Reward

We believe in providing our people personal, professional and social benefits so that they can deliver their best work each and every day. Employees have access to a range of corporate discounts across retail, utilities, travel, health & wellbeing etc, as well as novated leasing options, workplace flexibility, 20 weeks paid parental leave and more.

Regardless of where you are in your professional journey, Transgrid powers your career by providing access to regular and on-going training, workplace mentoring and tertiary education. At Transgrid, you are encouraged to build a career that is right for you.
