Project Engineer

We've partnered with a Tier 1 contractor seeking a Project Engineer with solid asphalt experience to join their crew on long-term projects across SEQ. This role offers exposure to a diverse pipeline, from $10m TMR packages through to landmark mega projects.
The role:
You'll be responsible for leading the planning and delivery of asphalt programs, including resurfacing, overlays, stabilisation and rehabilitation works, ensuring all projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to specification.
You'll work closely with the Project Manager to coordinate plant, crews and subcontractors, monitor quality control testing, and drive strong financial and commercial outcomes. This is a hands-on role with exposure to large-scale asphalt programs with a tier 1 contractor that provides long-term role security and ample room for career growth.
About You:
- Civil Engineering degree (or equivalent)
- Proven asphalt/paving project experience is essential
- Sound knowledge of surfacing techniques, QA processes, and TMR standards
- Strong financial and commercial acumen, including budgeting and subcontractor management
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills
