The Company

Our client is a well-known government organisation dedicated to delivering great customer experiences and simplifying the way customers access Government services.

They are seeking enthusiastic and driven Call Centre Operators to join their successful and dynamic team environment in this exciting contract role starting on 12 December 2025, until 09 June 2026, based in Lithgow

Please note, the successful contractors will be working on a 7am-7pm rotating roster Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays.

The Job

Reporting through to a Team Leader, you will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Answering a high volume of inbound enquiries in a contact centre environment.
  • Developing and maintaining a thorough knowledge of information resources and operating practices and procedures.
  • Providing accurate and high-quality customer service, enquiry resolution, update records and complete transactions.
  • Accurately recording customer complaints and escalating unresolved issues.
  • Meeting privacy requirements and legislative obligations.
  • Completing ad-hoc administrative activities including processing documents and applications.
  • Utilising multiple digital data storage systems to locate, provide and update customer information and records.

You

To qualify for this opportunity, you must have experience in the following areas and possess the personal qualities below:

  • Ability to work across a rotating roster between the hours of 7am-7pm, Monday-Friday.
  • Minimum 6 months experience working in a contact centre environment.
  • Experience working within the Government sector is desirable.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work across several systems simultaneously.
  • Strong customer service skills and excellent attention to detail.
