Resource Manager
to our team. This individual will play a crucial role in ensuring that we have the right resources in place to support our ongoing and upcoming projects.

Role Overview
As the
Resource Manager
, your responsibilities will include liaising with project teams to identify resource requirements, evaluating staff performance, and ensuring productivity targets are met. Your expertise in civil construction, particularly in formwork concreting and steel fixing, will be key in supporting the efficient management of our resources and project timelines.

Your role will also involve a strong focus on business development, including participation in project tendering and maintaining industry contacts. As a central point of communication, you'll engage regularly with project teams, clients, and the recruitment department to ensure that staffing needs are effectively met.

Key Responsibilities

  • Liaise with project teams to assess personnel needs and ensure resources are effectively allocated to meet project demands.
  • Evaluate staff performance and productivity, providing insights to improve team efficiency and deliver projects successfully.
  • Support the recruitment team in identifying and placing suitable candidates for civil construction roles, based on project requirements.
  • Engage in business development activities, including project tendering and expanding client relationships.
  • Foster relationships with industry contacts, ensuring you stay up to date on trends and opportunities.
  • Conduct site visits to assess project progress and liaise with key personnel to ensure staffing and resource needs are aligned with project goals.
  • Regularly communicate with clients to ensure project milestones are met and expectations are managed effectively.
  • Use Microsoft Office Suite and other business tools to track, manage, and report on resource allocation and project progress.
  • Interpret construction drawings and understand scheduling to ensure that resources are allocated in line with the construction timeline and project scope.

Key Qualifications & Experience:

  • Extensive experience in civil construction, specifically in formwork concreting and steel fixing, will be highly valued.
  • Proven experience in reading and interpreting construction drawings to understand project specifications and scheduling requirements.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to lead teams and drive project success through effective resource management.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact confidently with clients, project teams, and recruitment staff.
  • Experience in project tendering and business development within the civil construction sector.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and a willingness to learn new business-driving technologies.
  • Flexibility to travel to construction sites as required for project assessments.
  • Industry contacts and a strong network within the civil construction sector will be an asset.
