Bayside, Australia PCA Personnel Pty Ltd. Full time $90,000 - $120,000 per year

Our client is a long-established, successful designer and manufacturer of mechanical equipment, they are located in the outer SE suburbs of Melbourne. They require an experienced Assembly Team Leader to join their manufacturing team on a full time permanent arrangement.

This role is hands-on and leadership-focused, where you will be responsible for leading the assembly team to deliver high-quality, on-time production of complex mechanical assemblies.

You will coordinate daily workflow, mentor junior staff, and work closely with engineering and planning departments to ensure smooth production flow and continuous improvement.

Key requirements for this role include:

  • A trade would be highly regarded, or a background in mechanical, electrical, or general manufacturing assembly would also be considered for this role.
  • Proven experience in a team leadership, supervisory, or foreman role.
  • Strong ability to read, interpret and apply Engineering drawings and technical documents.
  • Demonstrated experience in a hands-on mechanical assembly environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving, organisational, and communication skills.
  • A proactive mindset with the ability to train and mentor less experienced team members.
  • Understanding of Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., 5S).
