Established in 1967, Dimitries has been a part of many great love stories in the Canberra and Queanbeyan region for decades. For decades, our customer base has trusted us to help them choose or design pieces of jewellery to celebrate their most cherished moments and bring delight to loved ones. We are known for our unique high-end pieces and custom design and our team includes nationally and internationally accredited diamond graders, gemmologists and designers.
We're looking for a fun, dynamic, and passionate team member that loves jewellery as much as we do. Do you have a flair for sales, a friendly personality, and enjoy creating delightful shopping experiences for your customers? Do you enjoy a challenge and looking to stretch your wings into new skillsets? If so, this opportunity might be for you.
Hours: 20–30 per week | Immediate Start Available
About the Role:
As a Sales Associate, you will provide an outstanding shopping experience for our customers, helping them find the perfect piece for their most meaningful occasions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional customer service and build strong customer relationships
- Assist customers in selecting jewellery pieces with expert advice
- Process sales transactions and manage point-of-sale operations
- Maintain store presentation and visual merchandising standards
- Handle stock replenishment and inventory tasks
- Work as part of a team to achieve sales goals
- Take on new responsibilities in your interest areas to support the business growth
About You:
- Previous retail or customer service experience (jewellery experience is highly regarded but not essential)
- Passion for sales, fashion, and luxury products
- Friendly, engaging, and confident with excellent communication skills
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
- Ability to quickly develop in-depth product knowledge to assist customers effectively
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong customer relationships
- High standard of personal presentation, reflecting the elegance of our brand
