A large-scale migration project is underway, transitioning from on-premise systems to the cloud, specifically focusing on Payroll and HR systems. We are looking for a highly skilled Data Analyst to join our team, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of data during this complex migration. This role will involve collaboration with various project teams, from Engineers to Business Stakeholders, ensuring seamless data transfers and reconciliation processes.

Key Responsibilities

As a Data Analyst, you will:

  • Provide SQL-based support for data migration, including troubleshooting, scripting, and performing ETL tasks.
  • Assist in the data cleansing and reconciliation process, ensuring that all HR and Payroll data is migrated correctly and completely.
  • Develop and execute test scripts for database changes and ensure all test cases are aligned with project requirements.
  • Work closely with project leads and functional SMEs to ensure accurate data mapping and to identify potential issues before they affect the migration.
  • Review database structures, data quality, and integrity to ensure a smooth migration to the cloud.
  • Monitor and resolve defects during the testing and deployment phases of the project.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and provide regular updates on the status of data migration, ensuring clear and effective communication across all teams.
  • Assist in the creation of detailed data migration strategies, including identifying transformation rules and reconciliation points.

    About You

    Technical Skills & Experience

  • Strong SQL skills – Ability to read, understand, and troubleshoot SQL scripts, including advanced functions like ETL, nested queries, table/view creation, etc.
  • Experience working with Oracle e-Business Suite, particularly Core HR and Payroll functions, and understanding of the underlying data structures.
  • Proficiency in traditional DBMS tools (e.g., DBeaver) and cloud-based platforms like Databricks.
  • Experience with data profiling, including gathering and analyzing data with minimal input from others.
  • Knowledge of testing methodologies and the ability to write and execute detailed test scripts.
  • Ability to analyze and provide high-level insights on system integrations and how data flows between systems.
  • Understanding of data migration principles, especially on-prem to cloud migrations.
