With a strong reputation across energy, mining, and heavy industry, we're growing our engineering team and looking for a Senior Electrical Project Engineer to lead complex brownfield upgrades for an iconic Tier 1 client.

Based in Brisbane, this role will suit someone with strong technical capability, project leadership experience, and a willingness to travel to site when required.

Responsibilities and accountabilities:

  • Leading end-to-end electrical project delivery, from design through to commissioning.
  • Managing a team of Electrical Project Engineers and mentoring junior team members.
  • Developing and reviewing engineering documentation to meet technical, safety, and regulatory standards.
  • Supporting procurement, FAT/SAT, commissioning, and quality assurance activities.
  • Working cross-functionally with internal teams, clients, and vendors to drive successful outcomes.
  • Participating in risk reviews, design workshops, and Safety in Design processes.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A degree in Electrical Engineering (CPEng eligibility ideal).
  • 5+ years of experience in brownfield infrastructure projects, ideally in energy, generation, or heavy industry.
  • Experience leading or guiding engineering teams.
  • A confident communicator and collaborator who thrives in fast-paced, complex environments.
  • Strong working knowledge of Australian Standards and engineering governance.
