THE ROLE

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Service Technician to become part of our experienced team. This hands-on role is ideal for someone with a strong mechanical aptitude and a genuine passion for problem-solving and quality workmanship.
As a Service Technician, you will be responsible for the assembly, servicing, maintenance, and repair of pumps and associated equipment across residential, industrial, commercial, and agricultural applications. You'll work both in the workshop and in the field, diagnosing issues and ensuring that every job meets HD Pumps' high standards of reliability and performance.
In this role, you'll also have the opportunity to liaise directly with customers, deliver efficient service outcomes, and contribute to the success of a well-established local business that prides itself on professionalism and community values. KEY DUTIES- Diagnose and repair a diverse range of pumping systems and related equipment, both in the workshop and in the field
- Perform scheduled servicing, installations, and overhauls
- Maintain accurate service records and adhere to safety protocols
- Liaise with customers and team members to deliver efficient service
- Supervise and mentor apprentices
- Very competitive hourly rate based on experience
- Work vehicle supplied to the right applicant

- Trade-qualified in a mechanical or electrical trade with demonstrated experience
- Minimum 1-2 years of post-qualification trade experience required
- Experience with pumps or related equipment preferred but not essential
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Willingness to learn and increase knowledge
- Attention to detail and willingness to go the extra mile
- Enjoy driving high standards
- Aptitude for teaching others what you know
- Reliability
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Able to work regular overtime and be on call as required
- Good customer service skills
- Own tools
- A Current NT Manual Drivers Licence
- Current or recent police check
- Australian citizenship required for this position
