Summary:

We are seeking a Strategic Business Advisor to join our dynamic IT team in Canberra. This role is pivotal in driving strategic initiatives, enhancing business performance, and fostering relationships with key stakeholders. The ideal candidate will leverage their expertise to provide insights and recommendations that align with our organizational goals, ensuring we remain competitive in the rapidly evolving technology landscape.

Responsibilities:

  • As a Program Management SME, support continual improvement of governance forums and assurance activities.
  • Maintain existing artefacts such as the Governance and Assurance Manual, and communicate the requirements of the Manual to practitioners across the Division.
  • Design, develop and communicate new artefacts with Defence staff.
  • Contribute to the maintenance of Interim Battleworthiness Management System (IBMS) as the authoritative source for processes, by reviewing, analysing and designing processes.
  • Develop and draft reports for presentation to senior stakeholders.
  • Engage with relevant stakeholders, identifying any gaps, risks, or issues.
  • Be prepared to provide specialist advice to working groups and Stakeholders.
  • Manage obstacles that will impede the deliverables being successfully executed.
  • Successfully collaborate with Defence staff and other Defence contractors.

Qualifications:

  • NV1 security clearance or higher
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a strategic advisory role within the IT or Defence industry.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful business strategies.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and market trends.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools.
