Your role
Gadens is recognised as one of Australia's leading real estate law practices with particular expertise in acting for major property owners and developers in high value and strategic transactions and development projects. We offer our clients an integrated service through a consolidated practice comprising real estate, construction and planning capabilities, across residential, retail, commercial and industrial properties.
You will be working directly with a Partner and their team to advise on property and development transactions, particularly where they relate to government-led transactions, commercial and industrial property and development projects. This team has a diverse practice, and advises on property acquisition and sales, development agreements, major leasing, tenure issues, and the property related aspects of major projects and property financings.
This position would suit a Lawyer with 3-5+ years of post-admission experience who has a broad property skillset and who is looking for a relaxed environment without compromising on work mix or quality. The role will involve both individual matter work and team collaboration.
While taking guidance and leadership from experienced practitioners, you will need to use your initiative and will have direct client contact. We also offer regular training and professional development activities presented by senior lawyers and leading academics.
About you
To be considered for this role, you will possess:
- demonstrated working experience in a broad range of property transactions, with preference given to any property development or major projects experience
- ability to communicate effectively and professionally (written and verbal)
- exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to quickly build rapport with colleagues and stakeholders
- ability to work with and mentor junior lawyers and support staff to ensure quality output and effective matter management
- demonstrated ability to be curious about your client's industries and develop knowledge quickly
