We have a role available for an Operations Performance Manager to join our Defence division. This is a permanent full-time position that could be based at any of the main defence bases in South Australia.

About the role

You will ensure the effective and efficient management of operations under the PAS Regional Operations Manager for this multi-site contract. This role involves overseeing multiple bases, measuring and reporting of operational performance compliance against contractual obligations, and driving continuous improvement across all sites.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and implementing an audit schedule to ensure regular and systematic internal audits of both internal staff and external contractor staff.
  • Performing detailed internal audits to evaluate adherence to policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Identifying non-compliances and developing corrective action plans to address any deficiencies and monitoring the implementation and effectiveness of these corrective actions.
  • Tracking and reporting on KPIs to ensure operational objectives are being met.
  • Ensuring all operations comply with relevant legislation, regulations, and contractual requirements.
  • Maintaining effective communication and relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Providing guidance and training to staff on compliance, quality control, and operational procedures.
  • Preparing and presenting reports on audit findings, operational performance, and improvement initiatives to senior management.
  • Identifying areas for process improvement and work collaboratively with teams to implement best practices.

About you

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role, preferably within the defence sector or a large multi-site organisation.
  • Proven experience in audit management and conducting internal audits.
  • Strong understanding of compliance, regulatory requirements, and risk management practices.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • A tertiary qualification in Business, Management, or a related field is highly desirable.

You must be an Australian Citizen and able to obtain and maintain a Defence Security Clearance.
